Her guest Milli Macen-Moore, is a certified Master Gardener through UC Cooperative Extension's Common Ground Program. Milli shares her experiences in gardening and self-sufficiency through Heather's other inspiring guest is Sara Paul. After becoming and "organic vegan" in 2008, Sara decided to share her knowledge of health, wellness, and the beauty of eating by connecting people with agriculture, nature, and sustainable individualism. Her current project, CSA California, is running in 5 locations throughout Los Angeles and is fundraiser for school garden and nutrition programs. Inspired by Alice Waters, Sara's goal is to help provide the children of our future the skills and knowledge they need to live off the abundance of the land.
